A Word From Our Pastor
A Word from Our Pastor
In Matthew’s Gospel, 7:24-25, we find these words of Jesus: “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit – but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.” (The Message)
We poured the slab today for our new building with the belief that a solid foundation will uphold us in our times of growth and development of our ministry. Time spent setting and building on a solid foundation is never wasted time. In fact, more time and much thought goes into the foundation of a new building because without it, the building has nothing on which to stand.
As we lay the foundation of future ministry in our church, I invite you to lay a solid foundation in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Study God’s Word. Spend time in worship and prayer. Serve Christ by serving others. And you will have a foundation that will sustain you in all storms of life.
Peace and grace,
James Haskins
