A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR

The Easter Story. An unbelievable story? Sure it is. Jesus was dead but now he is alive. Can it be true? Can someone who died live again? Can this story offer me hope in my time of deepest need? Is this a story that I can count on? How many times in your life have you doubted God? How many times have you been confronted with so-called stories of the goodness of life and how life is fair if only you will do the right thing? How many times have you been disappointed by the outcome of some event in your life? How many times have you tried to hope but you just don’t have it in you to hope any longer?

Can Jesus be counted on?

I know. I’ve been there. Can Jesus be counted on? Can I depend on Jesus to save my soul and give me a new life? Can God forgive even the worst of me, no matter the evil I have thought or done? Yes, God can!! You can believe this story. You can place your trust in the
Christ who was crucified and pronounced dead and rose again from the dead and is alive today. This same Jesus is in Heaven calling your name before the Holy God of Heaven and tells God you were worth dying for. Yes, you are worthy. Yes, Jesus believes in you. Yes, God loves you so much that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not die but have everlasting life.

You are so very much loved by God

I hope this message can reach that place special in your heart and remind you that you are so very much loved by God. I hope you can believe how precious you are in the heart of God. I hope you can find it in your spirit to trust God, maybe for the first time, or maybe trust God again, and walk in a newness of life that God so much wants to give you. Always know that God loves you and the people of Odenville United Methodist Church and me love you as well. Come let us prove it to you.
